Harvey Nichols opens new store in Doha

British luxury department store Harvey Nichols has opened a new store in Doha Festival City, Qatar, in partnership with the Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Group of Companies.

Located in Doha Festival City and set over three floors, the store offers 80,000 sq ft of retail space selling luxury men's, women's and children's fashion as well as beauty and lifestyle products. It was designed by boutique design agency Studio IV.

Qataris have one of the world's highest levels of disposable income and are the biggest spenders on luxury products in the Middle East, according to the American Express Middle East Luxury spending tracker.

In addition, as host of the forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup, the country will be firmly in the spotlight for the coming years, said Hisham Saleh Al Mana, chairman and managing director of SH Al Mana Group.

“Harvey Nichols will add a great shopping experience to Qataris and expats alike. Daniela Rinaldi and Manju Malhotra, co-chief operating officers of Harvey Nichols, said they were "delighted" to be opening a store in Doha. "We know there is an appetite for our brand in the region so we are excited to be able to offer the discerning customer in Qatar our exclusive edit of designer brands,” the pair said in a statement.

The Doha store adds to Harvey Nichols' international store portfolio, which includes outposts in Hong Kong, Dubai, Riyadh, Istanbul, Ankara and Kuwait. It also operates a number of stores in the UK and Ireland in Knightsbridge, Bristol, Dublin, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and a Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool.
