Heaven Scent – Avery Perfume Gallery opens in Selfridges

The arrival of the new Avery Perfume Gallery on the fourth floor of Selfridges, London is heralded by a waft of Heavenly scents! A world of fragrant fascination, Avery Perfume Gallery is the first worldwide venture into artisanal perfumery by the Intertrade Group.

Currently with ten stores in cites such as Doha, New Orleans and Milan (an amazing space at Excelsior and 10 Corso Como) and new stores due to open in Amsterdam, Moscow and Berlin, Avery presents some of the best niche fragrances and artisan perfumery to a more discerning audience.

Each location has been specially picked for its unique architectural style - no two Avery Perfume Galleries are alike - and bring Italian design with an international twist. Beautiful hand-blown glass olfactory boules on polished copper stands allow customers to experience the full depth of the scent from top, to middle and base notes. This allows you to be immersed in the fragrance also.

Avery Perfume Gallery also works with some outstanding Italian textile mills to produce fabrics which form the backdrop of in-store displays and add to the sumptuous artisanal effect. A series of ceramic animals have been designed exclusively for the Avery stores and the bisque ceramic absorbs the scent and acts as a diffuser in the room all day.

Some of the artistic perfumery brands to be showcased at Avery include: A Lab on Fire, Agonist, AVERY collection, Diane Pernet Paris, Re Profumo, Roads and S-Perfume, 13 fragrances in total. Its own AVERY fragrance collection of five perfumes (A,V,E,R and Y) devised by Celso Fadelli (President and Fragrance Curator of Intertrade) with wonderful top notes of Tonka bean, Black Pepper, Amber, Vanilla and hints of Oud are beautifully packaged in black glass bottles and can also be worn layered, mixing two or more of the scents.

For a truly curated experience, I highly recommend a visit to the Avery Perfume Gallery at Selfridges, if you love perfume or want to find a new signature scent then you won't be disappointed.
