Jigsaw appoints Chris Stephenson as new CEO

Premium fashion brand Jigsaw has appointed a new CEO, following the departure of Peter Ruis earlier this year.

Chris Stephenson, formerly the global president of the Active Division at London-based brand house Pentland, has taken up the position having been a non-executive director at Jigsaw since June, according to his Linked-in profile.

Stephenson held the role at Pentland for just over 1.5 years and left the business following the recent restructure of its top management team. Prior to this he was CEO at rugby brand Canterbury for eight years and had previously held a number of financial director roles.

He replaces Peter Ruis who left Jigsaw in March of this year after 4.5 years in the role and just before it was announced that the business had secured a £20m investment deal, which involved Carphone Warehouse founder David Ross taking a stake in the business.

Ruis has since been appointed as managing director of the international business of US retailer Anthropologie, which is owned by Urban Outfitters.
