Life & Sole of Shoes and Charlotte Mills collaborate on Silver Hearts shoe

Life & Sole of Shoes, the online platform for women seeking shoes up to a size 10, has produced a new signature shoe with footwear designer Charlotte Mills.

Katie Sharp, founder of Life & Sole of Shoes which recommends its pick of the best shoes available in larger sizes from designer brands to high street and trainers, met Mills at London Fashion Week and the pair bonded over their shared need for stylish footwear in larger sizes. Both women take UK size 8.

The result of their connection was the creation of the Silver Hearts shoe, which they say is the first luxury shoe collaboration of its kind. Available in sizes from 2-10 the heeled sandal with ankle-tie is available to buy from Life and Sole of Shoes, for £185.

Sharp said she was inspired to set up Life & Sole of Shoes, which as well as footwear recommendations features a blog and personal shopping service, when she sat down and calculated how much money she had wasted on ill-fitting footwear.

“One day I analysed my shoe collection and counted up the cost of the shoes I’ve either never worn, only wore once or just didn’t fit my size 8 feet properly. I quickly realised how much money I had wasted (I dare you to try it!) and estimated it conservatively at around £1,500,” she explained.

“It was reason to enough to launch Life & Sole of Shoes and help other women like me, struggling to find the perfect shoes. In creating my tightly edited Shoe Hall of Fame, I’m proud to celebrate the best shoes in the business with a Life & Sole of Shoes seal of approval,” Sharp added.
