Converse is staging the ultimate experiential pop-up event in Shoreditch today and tomorrow (16 and 17 February), which has been conceived to unite the sneaker, skate, fashion and music communities.
The experience, which features exclusive product drops (including new releases and re-releases), music performances, workshops and talks, is located in Shoreditch and was designed to tap into the 90s attitude, reflecting the era in which the iconic One Star sneaker was born.
Offering a twist on the five-star hotel experience, the One Star hotel is divided into areas including a lobby – manned by 15-year-old sneaker enthusiast Leo Mandella (@gullyguyleo) – guest rooms, suites and a laundry room offering opportunities for digital, product and live experiences curated by Converse collaborators, including Harlem-born rapper A$AP Nast, Stockholm’s Yung Lean, New York City’s MadeMe (a fashion label run by Erin Magee) and Beijing’s Tizzy T.
The One Star Hotel is located at 155 New N Rd Hoxton, London N1 6TA and will be open 16 and 17 February from 12 pm-6pm and 8pm-late.
